What is this blog all about and why it isn’t really engineering the world?
In this blog I will try to give out some tutorials, or small snippets of code, that I come up with while doing some programming or engineering work. The engineeringtheworld blog name was given not because I will engineer the world in this blog but it just seemed a cool title to have. And since I will soon become an engineer it was even ‘cooler’. Now I am an engineer 🙂
Who am I?
I am Ladislav Klinc, civil engineering (Structural engineering) student graduate from Ljubljana, Slovenia. For the last couple of years I have been doing a lot of web application coding with PHP and MySQL, later I added Flex to the mix, because I was thrilled to see how web applications can become even more interactive (I also tryed to add some interactivity with AJAX, but the browser problems (namely IE) got the best of me in that field). Lately I have been doing work on Google Sketchup using Ruby Sketchup API for creating ontime5d program, that allows users to create 4D and 5D models of construction building process. I also recently embarked on a journey that is iPhone and iPad programmig, it is fun to learn something new (objective C 2.0 and Cocoa Touch) even though my body was resisting it at first.
I am also an avid NBA and basketball in general fanatic. When the NBA season is on it is my mourning routine to watch NBA.com video highlights with my ever present cup of coffee.
At the end I would like to say that I am not a computer programmer by profession, but I try to do my best when embarking on programming challenges.

Hi Ladislav,
I recently read your article on Using Item Editors in DataGrid, adding new data to DataGrid and really liked it.
